A new pair of heels, a blender, and…breast implants? That’s right, when building Christmas wish lists, plastic surgery is on the menu as a perfectly viable option for an increasing number of women and men, young and old. Holiday season is approaching, and, for those of us who are particularly proactive about getting a head start on gift buying, it’s time to think about what we want to give to our loved ones (or ourselves!)
According to an ABC News report, giving the gift of plastic surgery had gone up 20% to 35% in the 2013 holiday season, with the most popular procedures cited as, first, the nose job (rhinopolasty), followed by eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and then breast augmentation.
For those of us not looking to spend thousands, a recent Elle.com post reported the sales of plastic surgery gift cards (for lower priced procedures such as Botox or laser hair removal) as increasing “dramatically”. And why not? The gift of restored beauty and age reversal, and, ultimately, a happier life with an increased self-esteem, is priceless.
The holiday and New Years season is an especially suitable time to undergo cosmetic surgery, as people look to turn over a new leaf. Another bonus is that time off from work and school allows for private recovery. Whether it’s a sister-to-sister gift, a husband-to-wife treat, a wife-to-husband present, or a mother-to-daughter reward, the gift of cosmetic surgery is for anyone.
If pressed, everyone has at least one thing they would like improved via cosmetic surgery, ranging from mildly invasive procedures such as a chemical peel to more dramatic operations like liposuction.
Perhaps your loved one, or you, were hesitant or did not have the funds to get a procedure themselves, so why not ask (or strongly hint!) and put it out there!
Get or give that procedure done that you or your loved one always (maybe secretly?) wanted and start the holiday season right!. Shhhhh, your secret is ours.
